Reuben's Silver Fern

This Silver Fern restored by Reuben was designed by Archibald Logan in New Zealand in 1933 as a race trainer. I'm not sure when this one was built, or how it came to Australia, but Reuben tells me the sails are original. She has a traditional (very beautiful) 12' carvel hull.

Paul's scaled-up Tammie Norrie

Built at home, this lovely yawl has mainly hand-built fittings. She rows well, and paul speaks highly of the mizzen for relaxed sailing. Paul tells me the beam, sail area and displacement volume have all been increased by adding 10% to each linear dimension. His blog and web pages can be found here
